School Board Approves New Student Assignment Plan for 2009-2010
Tuesday, July 8, the Metro Nashville Board of Education approved the new student assignment plan created by the Community Task Force on Student Assignment. The new plan, which passed with a 5-4 vote, will take effect in the 2009-2010 school year. In the coming weeks, the district will be working on a plan to effectively communicate all changes with parents so you know and understand exactly what the new plan means for your children. Again, this plan will not take effect until the Fall of 2009. If you would like to view the full plan, part 1 can be viewed by clicking here. To view the second portion, click here.
